What RIVERFORK is About
RIVERFORK is a training and consulting firm that specializes in helping organizations create and sustain a healthy flow of change where employees thrive and objectives are met. Through trust, authenticity, and great tools and strategy, we teach and advise companies how to lead change by design. Our philosophy is that change is not something to be ‘managed’—change is something that when designed right, people will follow, willingly.
Our work spans many different situations including change efforts related to mergers and acquisitions, large-scale IT and process implementations, and cultural transformations.
We have practical and proven international expertise in areas such as creating a shared understanding of objectives with key stakeholders; identifying gaps, needs, barriers, and opportunities; employee communications; training; process design and improvement; and team building and collaboration.
Fifteen years in the high-tech corporate world, plus teaching change management courses for training and consulting firms, I have learned a lot about what works and even more about what doesn’t work when leading change. My expertise in personal and business change was developed through many years working inside corporations such as Hewlett-Packard and Agilent Technologies, where I collaborated with thousands of executives, managers and employees.

The Reason Why
I started writing and coaching for three reasons:
- I felt I had something important to say.
- I wanted to transition from helping a few people on an individual basis to helping more people through a broader platform.
- I finally listened to those around me and realized what I was supposed to be doing in this world.
The Origin of the RIVERFORK Name
The name RIVERFORK was chosen for three reasons. First, what better represents constant change than a river? Second: Fork represents choice. Third: The name represents my love for Colorado, the outdoors, and the fisherman. Change+Choice+Passion. Thus the name RIVERFORK.
